Festus Lagat, 25, representing Under Armour and Kenya, won the top section of the men's 800 meters in 1:44.81 at the second edition of the Under Armour Sunset Tour, presented by Sound Running, at Jack Kemp Stadium at Occidental College. Lagat, a former Iowa State standout who ran 1:44.31 to finish fourth June 25 at the Kenyan Trials for the World Championships, ran sub-1:45 for the third time in his career.
